AppLabs and TalentSprint have partnered to create a training-cum-recruitment program by which AppLabs will recruit ISTQB-certified test engineers that have been sourced and trained by TalentSprint. The program is designed for fresh engineering graduates in CSE/IT/EEE/ECE that have passed out in 2008 or 2009. The program starts on July 20, 2009 and has a limited number of seats (30).
WHO CAN APPLY?
Only 2008 and 2009 B.E. and B.Techs from streams CSE/IT/ECE/EEE that have obtained an aggregate of 70% marks can apply for selection to this program.

WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS?
- 60-minute Written Test (Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills, English Language)
- Job Interview

WHAT IS THE TRAINING PROGRAM?
- This is a 1+3 months program
- 1 month training on ISTQB certification and soft skills (by TalentSprint)
- 3 months hands-on internship on live projects (within AppLabs)
- On successful completion, employment at AppLabs
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The program fee for the 1+3 program is Rs. 20,000 plus service tax. Candidates will also pay Rs. 4,000 as ISTQB Examination Fee.

- Is there any accommodation facility provided?
- No. However, TalentSprint can provide a list of hostels available for students in the area.
- What will be my salary and designation once I become an AppLabs employee?
- You will be designated as an entry-level Software Test Engineer with a salary of Rs 10,000-12,000 per month.
- What is the nature of written test and interview?
- Written test will be for 60 minutes and consist of 45 questions in the areas of Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills, and English Language. The interview will cover HR and some standard technical topics.
- What are the training hours?
- The 1-month training will be an intensive 160-hour program covering formal ISTQB curriculum, soft skills, and practicals. This translates to 40 hours per week of training.
